I feel like every single week i can call it a week of miracles! But this last week
was just amazing! We had TWO baptisms this last Friday! Two wonderful
girls who have changed their lives to follow Christ! what a wonderful day it
was. It was a bit crazy since we found out only Thursday night that it was for
sure going to happen, them needing interviews but we were so excited when
the plans were set! Friday we spent all day still going to appointments but
trying to get everything all set for the night as well. It felt like everything was
working against us! Our Tram we were on got into a road block so we had to
run to the closest metro hauling all the food. and had to go pick up their dresses
and WOW! a bit crazy, but we made it! Satan wasn't going to be able to stop this
awesome day! The program went really well and there was lots of love and
support there. The spirit was so strong testifying to everyone the wonderful
plan that Heavenly Father has for each of us and the perfect example of the
Savoir we have to follow. so amazing.
On top of that awesome day we met some new investigators! A girl and her
mom! I am going to start helping the daughter (15 years) learn piano and they
are just the sweetest people ever. (and speak fluent English....a BIGGER miracle)
haha! :) we are so excited and are so happy to start teaching them about the gospel
and see if they too will except it! We feel like they are ready! They are just amazing.
Wednesday night after English group we were hit by a snow storm and i have never
been in that much snow in my entire life! the flakes were HUGE! and we couldn't see
a thing as we walked to the metro! we were covered in white when we arrived there and
got laughed at...haha but then they went outside and we laughed even more :D love it.
the snow is all melted now and it is getting warmer! This morning sister K and i
went on a run (finally!) down by the river and in the early morning light it was just gorgeous!
This last Saturday and Sunday were stake conference and it was so awesome to
see all of the wards joined together in strength and unity! i love Russia SO MUCH!
We have lots of investigators right now all so amazing and progressing really well!
we are really hoping we stay here next transfer!
i found a really awesome verse this morning in ether 4: 12and i don't have time to
write it out but READ IT PLEASE! it is so cool and i love that it talks about light! one
topic that has really stuck with me on my mission.LIGHT! and we have given a couple
lessons/ spiritual thoughts to members about light and really love
asking and talking about it with them. What does light mean to you?
What in your life is "light"? and HOW can we increase/ add more light to
our lives? really good questions that made
me think about it too. Then we gave them a commitment to make a chart
and write 3 things everyday of things that are light/happiness/blessings
in your lives!
You are ALL light to me in my life and i am so grateful for all of you!
LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
love, sister Yeates
